Nathan Scott Evans is a Teaching Associate Professor and Faculty Director for Cybersecurity at the University of Denver's Ritchie School of Engineering & Computer Science. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Technische Universität München (2011), an MS from the University of Denver (2009), and dual BS/BA degrees in Computer Science and Criminal Justice from Baldwin-Wallace University (2006).
His research focuses on network security, P2P systems, and cloud security. Previously, he worked at Symantec Research Labs on U.S. government-funded projects (DARPA, IARPA, AFRL) as a Senior Principal Research Engineer before returning to academia.
Dr. Evans currently teaches in the Professional Master's Degree in Cybersecurity Program, emphasizing practical applications of security principles in modern computing environments.
