Nathan Redding

Dr. Nathan Redding is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences at Clemson University's College of Science. He holds a PhD (2018) and MS (2015) in Plant and Environmental Sciences from Clemson, and a BS in Biology and Spanish from Wofford College (2011).

His research background examines Plant-Parasite Interactions, specifically root-nematode dynamics in soybeans. Current scholarship focuses on Evidence-Based Biology Education, mentoring graduate teaching assistants, and curriculum development across introductory to advanced plant science courses.

Courses taught include General Biology I/II, Principles of Biology I/II, Biology of Plants (lecture/lab), Plant Physiology (lecture/lab), and Biology in the News. Teaching emphasizes active learning strategies and pedagogical innovation.
