About
Dr. Nathan Insel is Assistant Professor in Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University's Faculty of Science. His lab investigates neural mechanisms of social behavior, cognition, and aging using rodent models and neurophysiological techniques.
Research spans social motivation in degus, hippocampal network dynamics in memory formation, and prefrontal cortex function across the lifespan. Current projects examine how social relationships influence neural coding and behavioral outcomes.
Holds Wednesday office hours in N2075B where he mentors graduate and undergraduate researchers studying neural correlates of behavior.
