Dr. Nathan Allred is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Texas Tech University's Rawls College of Business. He holds a PhD from Penn State University and a BS from Brigham Young University. His research examines how conspiracy beliefs, prosocial behaviors, and sustainability perspectives influence consumer decision-making, employing experimental methodologies.
His 2024 Journal of Consumer Research publication demonstrates how scientific literacy moderates conspiracy theory impacts on consumption patterns. Ongoing projects explore repair services' psychological signaling and AI interventions for conspiracy adherence.
