Nataša Pantić

Dr. Nataša Pantić is a Professor in Educational Change and Diversity at the University of Edinburgh's Moray House School of Education and Sport. She leads the Centre for Research in Education Inclusion and Diversity (2020–2023) and co-leads the Social Justice and Inclusion Research Hub. Her career spans over two decades in academia and international consultancy, addressing education challenges through teacher agency and inclusive practices. She holds a PhD from Utrecht University and an MSc from the University of Edinburgh.

Research Interests:

Her work focuses on teachers as agents of change in contexts of diversity, migration, and systemic inequities. Key areas include teacher professional development, policy implementation, and migrant integration in schools. Current projects like TEAMS (Nordic-UK Migration Programme) and ACT (Agents of Change Toolkit) emphasize practical solutions for educational inclusion.

Awards and Grants:

• Recipient of ESRC Impact Acceleration Awards and Chancellor's Research Fellowship
• Lead PI of a £1.2M Nordic-UK grant for the TEAMS project
• Design collaborator of the ACT Toolkit for SDG-aligned education

Professional Engagement:

She advises UNESCO, the Council of Europe, and governments on teacher education and policy. Her network spans twelve countries, with collaborations in Finland, Sweden, Chile, and the Western Balkans. She directs the Research-led Teacher Education Network and co-ordinates global initiatives like the Global Justice Academy.
