Natasja Delbar is a PhD researcher at the Leiden University Centre for Linguistics (LUCL) under the Graduate School for Humanities at Leiden University. She is actively involved in the NWO-funded project "The role of self-monitoring in the development of word production in young children" and the PerPLex initiative, focusing on speech production mechanisms in toddlers and their connection to speech perception.

Her research explores how young children revise speech errors, update phonetic encoding, and specify neutralized voicing contrasts in language production. Key projects include investigating links between speech production and perception in two-year-olds and mechanisms of self-monitoring.
