Natasha Chilambo is a Research Fellow at King’s College London’s School of Global Affairs and a Research Aide on the Practice of Leadership programme under Dr. Fatima Akilu. She holds an MSc in Leadership and Development from the Africa Leadership Centre (ALC), focusing on peacebuilding approaches to mental health challenges in Africa. Her research interests span health, peace, security, and leadership intersections.
Her current work includes developing a structural competency framework for undergraduate medical curricula and advocacy with organizations like Student Action for Refugees (STAR), securing scholarships and rights for asylum seekers. Her recent study on mental health support in Nigeria highlights the efficacy of group counselling and peacebuilding activities in reducing PTSD and depression.
Natasha collaborates with Refugee Action and Amnesty UK on campaigns like #LiftTheBan, advocating for asylum seeker rights. She is based at the Africa Leadership Centre within King’s Global Institutes, contributing to interdisciplinary global affairs research.
