Dr. Bingham specializes in comparative politics, focusing on the intersection of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, and national identity in political contexts. She also works on American state politics, nationalism, and conflict resolution. Her teaching includes courses on comparative government, Russian politics, Northern Irish politics, gender politics, and nationalism. She serves as a faculty advisor to Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society, and as Director of the Loyola University New Orleans Summer Ireland program.
