Natalie Ward

Natalie Ward is a Senior Research Fellow at the Dobney Hypertension Centre, UWA Medical School, specializing in cardiovascular research. She concurrently serves as Senior Lecturer at Curtin University. Her primary affiliations include the University of Western Australia (Perth, Australia) and the Royal Perth Hospital Medical Research Foundation.

Her research focuses on vascular dysfunction, atherosclerosis, lipid disorders, and statin intolerance, with extensive experience in clinical trials and animal studies. Key roles include Registry Coordinator for the Statin Intolerance Registry and DHC Hypertension Registry & Biobank, and Editorial Board membership for Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine and Scientific Reports.

Recent projects include establishing an Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) Registry, evaluating novel blood pressure monitoring devices, and investigating combination therapies for hypertension. She has led or co-led 26 grants, including studies on lipid-lowering therapies and cardiovascular device efficacy.

Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals addressing good health and well-being (SDG 3). Professional activities include serving as Treasurer for the Australian Atherosclerosis Society.
