Natalie Turrin is a part-time Lecturer in the Women and Gender Studies Program at the University of Southern Maine. She holds a Ph.D. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Emory University (2018), an M.A. in Women's Studies and Feminist Research from the University of Western Ontario (2009), and an Honors B.S. in Genetics with a minor in Women's Studies from the University of Western Ontario (2008). Her work bridges interdisciplinary scholarship, focusing on the intersections of gender, science, and feminist theory.
Dr. Turrin currently teaches WGS 101: Introduction to Women and Gender Studies and WGS 335/PSY 399: Feminism and Science. Before joining USM, she served as the Associate Director for Gender and Sexuality Programs at Emory’s Center for Women, demonstrating her commitment to both academic and practical contributions to gender studies.
