Natacha Harding is the Senior Lecturer and Academic Head of Department of Policing, Criminology and Forensics at the University of Winchester. She joined in 2013 as an Associate Lecturer, progressing to Lecturer (2015) and Senior Lecturer (2018). She leads The Justice Project and holds a Higher Education Academy Senior Fellowship (SFHEA).
Her research focuses on victim experiences in criminal justice systems, political dimensions of victim policy, and miscarriages of justice. She is completing a PhD on victim symbolism under Conservative governance in England and Wales. Teaching spans criminology modules from foundation to MSc levels, emphasizing miscarriages of justice, victimology, and crime fiction.
Publications include analysis of victim political activity (Political Quarterly, 2018) and pedagogical strategies for sensitive topics (2023). She has presented at British Society of Criminology conferences on topics like prison-based education and criminal justice policy communication.
