Nancy Stevens

Nancy Stevens is a Professor and Director of the Museum of Natural History in the Department of Anthropology. She earned her PhD from Stony Brook University in 2003 and maintains an office in HALE 126.

Her research explores interactions between organisms and environments through deep time, with extensive fieldwork across over a dozen Afro-Arabian countries resulting in multiple species discoveries. Current work focuses on modern extinction dynamics in critical biodiversity hotspots including Madagascar, Tanzania, Uganda, and Vietnam.
