Nancy Sophy is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Art at Rowan University's Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts. She holds an MFA in Painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Her studio practice explores painting and drawing through observed natural elements and evocations of identity, creating symbolic visual vocabularies.
Her research interests focus on interdisciplinary connections between art, nature studies, and cultural heritage interpretation. She maintains an active exhibition record with solo shows at institutions like Seraphin Gallery, The Delaware Contemporary, and Fleisher Art Memorial.
