Nancy Lombard

Nancy Lombard is Professor of Sociology at Glasgow Caledonian University researching gender-based violence and criminal justice responses.

Leads the 'Innovative Solutions to Eliminate Domestic Abuse' project examining technology-assisted support systems. Authored influential studies on media representations of domestic violence during COVID-19 and feminist framing of abuse policies in Scotland.

Awards include Venus International Women Award for Sociology. Serves on Scottish Sentencing Council advisory panels. Current work develops ethical AI chatbots for victim-survivors.
