Nancy E. Glass

Nancy E. Glass, PhD, MPH, MS, RN, FAAN, is a Professor and Associate Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health, while holding the Independence Chair in Nursing Education at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She specializes in clinical and community-based intervention research targeting gender-based violence (GBV) and health equity globally.

• Global Health Expertise: Focuses on improving safety and economic security for women in humanitarian settings, particularly addressing GBV in Somalia, South Sudan, and Kenya.
• Technological Innovation: Develops mHealth tools like the MyPlan app for abuse intervention and collaborates on ASIST-GBV screening methods.

Research Focus: Dr. Glass leads federally funded projects (NICHD, NIMHD, CDC, etc.) to challenge social norms sustaining violence against women and enhance healthcare systems' responses to GBV through partnerships and mHealth technologies.
