Nancy Capriles

Nancy Capriles is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Kentucky State University's School of Psychology. She teaches courses such as Sensation and Perception, Experimental Psychology, and Seminar in Psychology (drug abuse), and has over 10 years of research experience prior to joining the Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences.

• Research Focus: Investigates individual differences in vulnerability to drug abuse using microarrays technology to analyze gene expression profiles in the Nucleus Accumbens during cocaine addiction phases.
• Employs pharmacological tools to study long-term gene expression changes linked to cocaine relapse and seeking behavior.
