Nancy Bateman

Mrs. Nancy Bateman is an Adjunct Professor of Cello at Belhaven University's Music Department since 2005. She specializes in strings pedagogy and cello instruction, teaching String Methods, String Pedagogy, and String Bass. Her career includes over 20 years of experience in music education and performance.

• B.Mus., Wichita State University
• M.Mus., Wichita State University
• Advanced Musical Studies, University of Missouri-Kansas City

Teaching & Experience:

• Founded and maintained String Music Programs at First Presbyterian Day School (since 1999) and Veritas School (2002–2010).
• Conducted Summer String Orchestra Workshops and POI camps sponsored by the Mississippi Symphony.
• Performs regularly with the Mississippi Symphony since 1993 and as a soloist in weddings, funerals, and church services.

Performance Background:

• Cellist in Wichita, Omaha, and Lincoln Symphonies.
• Active in ensemble performances across diverse settings.
