Nancy-Angel Doetzel

Nancy-Angel Doetzel, PhD, is a contract instructor in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology at Mount Royal University since 2006. As an award-winning educator, researcher, and journalist, she integrates spirituality, Indigenous knowledge systems, and social justice into her teaching and scholarship.

Research Focus: Explores intersections between spirituality, education, and healthcare systems. Her work challenges spiritual deficiency in Canadian healthcare, cultivates spiritual intelligence, and bridges Indigenous epistemologies with Western pedagogies. She employs autoethnographic and ethnographic methodologies.
