Dr. Nahid Masoudi is an Associate Professor at the Natural Resources Institute within the Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth, and Resources at the University of Manitoba. She holds a Ph.D. in Quantitative Methods from the University of Montreal, an M.A. in Economics from Tehran University, and a B.A. in Economics from Shiraz University.
Her research focuses on environmental and natural resource economics, addressing topics like climate change mitigation, pollution control policies, and sustainable resource management. She actively promotes diversity and inclusion through roles in the Canadian Women Economists and the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists' Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative.
Her recent work explores international environmental agreements, dynamic game theory applications in resource extraction, and transboundary pollution management. Her publications emphasize policy design, stochastic modeling, and strategic interactions in environmental contexts.
