Nafiseh Samiseresht

Nafiseh Samiseresht is a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials, affiliated with the Department of Interface Chemistry and Surface Engineering. Her research focuses on spectroscopy at electrochemical interfaces, particularly investigating solvation layers on nanostructured SAMs using AFMIR and other spectroscopic techniques with nanoscale resolution.

She holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Cologne, where her research background was in surface functionalization for biosensor fabrication.

Her research interests are centered on advancing understanding of surface chemistry and electrochemical processes, with a particular emphasis on applying advanced spectroscopic methods to study nanostructured materials and their applications in biosensors.
