Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian

Prof. Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian holds the Lawrence D. Biele Chair in Law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Faculty of Law-Institute of Criminology and School of Social Work and Public Welfare, and serves as Global Chair in Law at Queen Mary University of London. Her work bridges law, criminology, and socio-political dynamics.

Her research focuses on trauma, state crimes, gender violence (especially femicide), childhood in conflict zones, and surveillance mechanisms in settler colonial contexts. Recent publications include Incarcerated Childhood and the Politics of Unchilding (2023) and Security Theology, Surveillance and the Politics of Fear (2015, Cambridge UP). She co-edits works on sacralization of politics and Islam/gender-based violence.
