Nader Dolatabadi

Nader Dolatabadi is a Lecturer in Dynamics and Energy Systems at the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing at Loughborough University. He holds a PhD in Dynamics and Tribology (2016) from Loughborough University, with a focus on NVH and energy efficiency in internal combustion engines. His academic journey includes a BSc (2009) and MSc (2012) in Mechanical Engineering, followed by a postdoc research associate role at Loughborough (2015-2018).

Research interests span tribology, engine efficiency, gear systems, and electric vehicle powertrains. He combines analytical and experimental methods to study friction, lubrication, and vibration dynamics in automotive and mechanical systems. Recent work includes investigations into ethanol-fuel diluted lubricants, hydrogen-fueled Wankel engines, and multi-body dynamics in high-performance racing applications.
