Nada Goodrum

Dr. Nada Goodrum is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of South Carolina, affiliated with the McCausland College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Georgia State University, with postdoctoral training at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her research focuses on family and community influences on child well-being in high-stress contexts, including trauma, HIV/AIDS, substance use, and racism. She emphasizes culturally humble, equity-focused approaches to prevent intergenerational risk transmission. Key roles include leading the ImPACT study (NIH-funded prevention program for stressed families) and collaborating on HIV/trauma care integration through Team REACH.
