NELIDA PORTO SERANTES

Nelida Porto Serantes is a Professor and Head Teacher in the Department of Financial model and Accounting at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences, University of Santiago de Compostela. She holds a PhD from the same institution (1996), focusing on 'Contingencies in the annual accounts of companies. A model for its detection and accounting treatment' under the supervision of Dr. Antonio Lopez Diaz.

Her research interests center on Financial Economics and Accounting, particularly in the areas of contingent liabilities, financial reporting models, and corporate accounting practices. She is affiliated with the ECADE research group (Economics, Accounting, Administration and Business Management).
