Márcia Rafaela Cadete dos Santos

Márcia Rafaela Cadete dos Santos is an Assistant Professor at the School of Economic and Organizational Sciences, Lusofona University. She holds a PhD in Management and serves as a researcher at the Business Research Unit (BRU) and Information Sciences, Technologies and Architecture Research Center (ISTAR-IUL) at ISCTE-IUL, Lisbon. Her research focuses on Accounting, Tax, Management, Risk, and Data Analytics applied to organizational challenges, particularly in the social economy, nonprofit, and for-profit sectors.

Research Highlights:

• Conducted social economy research for over a decade, with publications in journals like Public Management Review (IF=5.898) and Voluntas (IF=2.468).
• Received a grant from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) for a social economy project (2017).
• Coordinated Portugal’s national survey on social economy during the pandemic (2020-2021), published in Financial Capacity During a Pandemic Crisis.
• Co-authored a 2021 book on management and sustainability, featuring a free reader dashboard.

Teaching & Leadership: Teaches at ISCTE-IUL (since 2017), Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal (IPS) (since 2019), and Instituto Politécnico de Santarém (since 2022).
