Mykaell Riley is Senior Lecturer and Director of the Black Music Research Unit at the University of Westminster. His research documents 500 years of Black British music heritage, focusing on Jamaican music's cultural impact. He curated the British Library exhibition Beyond the Bassline and leads the Bass Culture Research project.
