Dr Mwangi Wanjiru is a Lecturer in Law at Kent Law School, University of Kent. He previously served as a Visiting Lecturer in Constitutional and Administrative Law at City University London. A Barrister (N/P Inner Temple) and holder of a PhD in International Criminal Law from Sussex University, his expertise spans Constitutionalism, Public Law, International Economic Law, and Human Rights. His research focuses on Critical Theories, the intersection of International Criminal Law and International Economic Law (ICL/IEL), Pluralism, Socio-Legal Studies, Post/de/colonial theories, Sovereignty, and Equalities/Diversities.
Dr Wanjiru’s work interrogates the relationship between law and the black citizen, informed by his parallel experience in community projects and safeguarding in both the UK and internationally. His academic contributions address systemic legal challenges through interdisciplinary socio-legal perspectives.
