Mustafa Rayaz

Mustafa Rayaz, D.O., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, affiliated with the William T. and Gay F. Solomon Division of General Internal Medicine. His academic journey includes a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, a medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and residency training at Unity Health (Searcy, Arkansas). He completed fellowships in geriatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and in hospice/palliative care at Wright State University.

Dr. Rayaz’s research focuses on patient education and strategies to reduce suffering in life-limiting illnesses. His clinical expertise spans geriatrics and hospice/palliative care, reflecting his advanced training. Outside medicine, he enjoys cooking, traveling, and attending theatrical plays.
