Musaffa Ayşen Lav

Prof. Musaffa Ayşen Lav is a Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Istanbul Technical University (ITU), serving since 2014. Her academic journey includes roles as an Associate Professor (1999–2014) and Vice President of the Department (2012–2014). She holds a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from ITU (1990–1994) and has international experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Sydney's Civil and Mining Engineering Department (1994–1996).

Her research focuses on Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering, Earthquake resilience, Geotechnics, and Foundation Construction.
