Murray Resnick is a Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Brown University School of of Medicine and serves as Pathologist-In-Chief at Lifespan Medical Center since 2022. He holds leadership roles in surgical and gastrointestinal pathology at Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital, and has previously served as Vice Chief of Pathology and Interim Chief of Pathology at these institutions.

Dr. Resnick's research focuses on biomarker discovery in gastrointestinal tumors, molecular mechanisms of Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis, and the application of machine learning in diagnostic and translational pathology. His work bridges molecular diagnostics with clinical applications, particularly in immunoncology and inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases.
Key trends in his recent publications include the use of molecular profiling for cancer progression markers, development of serological diagnostics for inflammatory conditions, and molecular characterization of rare tumors. His research has been supported by NIH grants including a COBRE Center for Cancer Research Development.
