Muqtedar Khan

Dr. Muqtedar Khan is a Professor in the Department of Political Science & International Relations at the University of Delaware, affiliated with the College of Arts & Sciences. He joined the university in 2005 and specializes in Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Political Theory. His research focuses on Political Islam, Islamic Political Thought, and American Foreign Policy in the Muslim World, with notable contributions to the study of Good Governance. He has held roles such as Founding Director of the Islamic Studies Program (2007-2010), Fellow at the Brookings Institution (2003-2008), and Academic Director of State Department programs (2017-2021).

Dr. Khan's research interests span global political dynamics, particularly in South Asia and the Middle East, and the intersection of religion and governance.
