Muntasir Shami

Muntasir Shami is an Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship at Aston Business School (Aston University) and a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford's Department of Economics and Centre for the Study of African Economics (CSAE). He holds a PhD in Economics from Aston University (2018) and focuses on Development Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Institutional Change. His research includes field experiments in Zimbabwe/Zambia targeting microenterprises, collaborations with Boston Consulting Group and Saudi Arabia's HRDF-BSU on labor market interventions, and policy advising. He leads the International Business and Management (IBAM) undergraduate program, overseeing curriculum design, assessment quality, and student engagement.
