Muhammad Waqas

Dr. Muhammad Waqas is Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security (Wireless Communications) at University of Greenwich's School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences. He holds a PhD from Tsinghua University (2019) and previously served as Assistant Professor at University of Bahrain and Research Associate at Beijing University of Technology. His research spans wireless security, vehicular networks, blockchain, and machine learning applications in cybersecurity.

With over 100 publications and 2400+ citations, his recent work focuses on lightweight authentication protocols, blockchain-enhanced systems, and secure IoT architectures. He serves as Associate Editor for International Journal of Computing and Digital Systems and guest editor for Applied Sciences.
