Muhammad Iftikhar Umrani

Muhammad Iftikhar Umrani is a CONNECT PhD researcher at South East Technological University (SETU), Ireland, under the supervision of Bernard Butler, with co-supervision by Aisling O’Driscoll and Steven Davy. His research focuses on enhancing UAV operational efficiency and security through Deep Learning-based cybersecurity measures.

His research interests span Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Flying Ad-Hoc Networks (FANETs), UAV Security, Dependable Networks, and Smart Cities. Prior to his PhD, Iftikhar served as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at SZABIST University, Pakistan.
