Muhammad Chutiyami

Muhammad Chutiyami is a Lecturer at University of Technology Sydney's School of Nursing and Midwifery. With over a decade of clinical and academic experience, his work bridges community health practice and population health research.

His research portfolio encompasses infectious diseases, immunization programs, social health determinants, family health, and community-based interventions. As an active collaborator with the Global Burden of Disease network, he contributes to studies assessing disease burden in Africa and Australia-Asia regions.

Recent research includes global diarrhoeal disease burden analysis, dance interventions for dementia, and community mental health initiatives in under-resourced settings. His work has been recognized through Research Excellence awards for Early Career Researchers.

Chutiyami also serves as Adjunct PhD Supervisor at Macquarie University. His funded research includes investigations into healthcare workers' role in addressing social determinants of health.
