Muhammad Ateeq

Muhammad Ateeq is a Teaching Fellow in Cybersecurity at the School of Science, Engineering & Environment, University of Salford. With over 10 years of international experience in higher education, he specializes in cybersecurity and networking. He holds expert certifications including CCIE, CCNP, and HCIE from Cisco, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AHE).

Mr. Ateeq's research focuses on the critical areas of cyber and network security, with emphasis on cloud and data center security, software-defined networking, and network automation. His work addresses modern challenges in securing digital infrastructure and enhancing network efficiency through automation and innovative architectures.

His recent publication in 2024 on the digitization and e-verification of medical certificates in Nigeria demonstrates his application of cybersecurity and information systems to healthcare challenges. This work bridges the gap between secure digital transformation and practical healthcare documentation systems in developing contexts.
