Mrdjan Mladjan is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Finance & Accounting Group at EBS Business School. He holds a PhD in Economics, Finance, and Management from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona), with a visiting scholar stint at UCLA Anderson School of Management. He also earned a BSc in Economics from MIT and studied quantitative finance at the University of Belgrade.
His research focuses on corporate finance, firm valuation, the real effects of economic crises, and socio-economic interactions. Key areas include the interplay between financial systems and societal outcomes, as well as institutional dynamics in transitional economies. Recent work explores uncertainty in educational expenditure, generational responsibility during crises, and religion’s role in labor market attitudes.
His publications span peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and edited volumes, with notable contributions to Economic Analysis, Sustainability, and Management. He has presented at major conferences such as the European Economic Association and Eurasia Business and Economics Society.
