Mostafa Fatemi, Ph.D., is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Consultant in the Department of Physiology & Biomedical Engineering at Mayo Clinic. His research focuses on developing novel ultrasound-based technologies for disease diagnosis and monitoring, including vibro-acoustography, sub-hertz viscoelasticity assessment (SAVE), and microvascular imaging. He holds over 11 patents and has secured grants from NIH, NSF, and other institutions since 1998. Dr. Fatemi is a Fellow of multiple professional societies (IEEE, Acoustical Society of America, etc.) and received the IEEE Distinguished Lecturer Award (2016-2017).
