Moritz Liebe is a Research Fellow at the Chair for Comparative Politics at the University of Trier since 2017. He supports the Master in European and East Asian Governance program and holds a PhD from the University of Luxembourg on the political economy of public-private partnerships in Europe. His research focuses on international political economy, public investment strategies, and European integration, particularly the economic and monetary union and financial single market. He teaches courses on Greek political systems, British political systems, and European/East Asian political economy.
His recent work examines determinants of PPP adoption in Europe, regional development banks' roles in promoting PPPs, and the European Investment Bank's policy entrepreneurship. He has published in journals like New Political Economy and JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies.
Teaching responsibilities include modules such as 'European Future Design: Public Investments in the EU,' 'Political System of the United Kingdom,' and 'Political Economy of East Asia and Europe.'
