Morgan Holcomb

Professor Morgan Holcomb is a Professor of Law and Vice Dean of Academics at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. She specializes in taxation law, focusing on gender and taxation, state and local tax issues, and policy. Her teaching includes courses on Contracts, Taxation of Business Entities, and Tax Policy.

• Education: B.A. in English (Grinnell College, with honors); J.D. (University of Minnesota Law School, magna cum laude, Order of the Coif)

Her research explores intersections of gender and taxation, with publications in law reviews and State Tax Notes. She serves on the Board of Minnesota CLE and previously on the Minnesota Lavender Bar Association and Minnesota Law Review Alumni Advisory Board.

She advises Hamline’s award-winning Tax Challenge team and was previously a Visiting Assistant Professor at University of Minnesota Law School. Her career includes legal practice at Maslon, Edelman, Borman & Brand, and a judicial clerkship with Judge John R. Tunheim.
