About
Morgan Donnard is a CNRS Senior Researcher and Assistant Professor at the University of Strasbourg, affiliated with the Ecole Européenne de Chimie, Polymères et Matériaux (ECPM). He teaches courses on molecular rearrangements, chirality, NMR in organic chemistry, and practical organic/analytical chemistry.
- Education: PhD in organic chemistry (2008) from École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie Mulhouse under Prof. J. Eustache, followed by postdoctoral work at the University of Manchester (2009-2010) and ENSCMu (2011-2012).
Research Interests: Focus on alkynes/nitriles linked to heteroatoms (ynamides, cyanamides, thiocyanates), heterocyclic chemistry, silicon-based methodologies, organometallic catalysis (Cu, Pd, Rh, Ru, Ni), domino/rearrangement reactions, photoelectrochemistry, polar organometallic reagents, coordination polymers, and scientific communication.
Professional Involvement: Active in national and international networks including GDR SynthFlux, GIS Fluor, and MGMC. Organized multiple conferences such as SCF Alsace Days, FICS symposiums, and GECO/FACS committees. Holds editorial roles for journals like Molecules (MDPI) and SCF – Actualité Chimique.
Labs & Teams: Currently associated with the COHA team at ECPM after initial affiliation with the SOMHet team at the University of Strasbourg. Board member of the Main Group Metals Chemistry network (MGMC) and other societies.
