Morag Matson

Morag Matson is a Lecturer at the Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University, specializing in Taxation and Financial Accounting. She holds professional qualifications including Chartered Accountant (CA) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Previously, she worked as a Tax Manager at KPMG and has collaborated with professional accounting bodies (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) on university accreditation.

Her research explores gender disparities in Professional Accounting Service Firms and accounting education methodologies across university and professional levels. She coordinates modules in Personal/Business Taxation (BS4113) and Corporate/Capital Taxes (BS4214), and served as Programme Lead for Accounting and Finance degrees (2017-2022).
