Monzambe Mapunzu

Prof. Monzambe Mapunzu is a Professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Kinshasa Ngaliema, and serves as Permanent Secretary of the National Academy of Development Sciences (ANSD). He is also a Research Officer at the African Institute for Prospective Studies (INADEP) and a member of the Co-Conference on the Ecosystems of Dense and Humid Forests of Central Africa (CEFDHAC).

Research Interests: His work focuses on renewable energy (particularly biomethanization), environmental science, and biodiversity conservation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He advocates for decentralized rural electrification using biogas technology to address energy poverty, climate change, and public health challenges.

Publications: His key contributions include analyses of biogas production in the DRC, strategic biodiversity plans, and institutional frameworks for development sciences. His research emphasizes multifunctional solutions to energy and ecological crises.
