Monique Levermore

Monique Levermore is a Professor and Program Director of the APA-accredited Clinical Psychology PhD Program at Alliant International University's California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. She founded Levermore Psychological Services, a private practice with satellite offices in Florida, and established Ruth’s Corner, a charitable organization supporting widows, widowers, and their children.

Education:

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Howard University (1995)
• Clinical Fellow/Intern, Harvard Medical School - Psychiatry Department

Her research focuses on community violence impact, social support systems, anxiety disorders, violent media effects, psychodynamic interventions, and advanced psychopathology. Articles analyze predictive factors in African American children's mental health, media aggression links, and behavioral development.

Scientific Awards:

• Woman of Distinction in Education and Government (Girl Scouts of Citrus Council, Florida)
• Faculty Member of the Year (Albizu University)

She holds medical privileges at Baptist Health and served as President of the Association of Black Psychologists - South Florida Chapter. Her work bridges clinical practice, program development, and philanthropy through nonprofit agencies.
