Monika Napora

Dr. Monika Napora serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Methodology and Research on 20th-21st Century at the Faculty of History and Archaeology, University of Maria Curie-Skłodowska (UMCS). Her academic career at UMCS began in October 2012 as Assistant in the Department of Contemporary History, advancing to her current position in October 2016 following completion of her doctoral dissertation.

Her research focuses on critical analysis of Nazi propaganda press during WWII occupation, particularly examining the Dziennik Radomski (1940-1945) through lenses of narratology, antisemitism studies, and public discourse analysis. She investigates how occupied media constructed reality, manipulated social perceptions, and propagated antisemitic discourse, while also exploring cultural history of sport and interwar Poland.

Napora's publication record demonstrates consistent scholarly output since 2010, with particular concentration between 2013-2017. Her work reveals strong thematic continuity in analyzing occupation-era media mechanisms, though she also engages with broader methodological questions in historical research as evidenced by her 2017 interdisciplinary study. Her monograph Gadzinowe narracje represents the culmination of her doctoral research.
