Monika Kin Gagnon

Monika Kin Gagnon is a Professor in Communication Studies at Concordia University. Her research focuses on experimental media arts, alternative media, the legacy of Expo 67, and intersections of identity and cultural politics. She holds a PhD in Communication from Simon Fraser University (SFU), an MA in Social & Political Thought from York University, and a BA in Communication Studies from Concordia University.

Her work engages with archival film projects such as CINEMAexpo67 and Transnational IMAX, exploring media's role in shaping cultural narratives. She maintains active research websites including CINEMAexpo67 and Archive | Counter-Archive.
