Monika Betzler

Monika Betzler serves as Professor and head of the Department of Ethics and Practical Philosophy at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, concurrently directing the Munich Center for Ethics.

Her academic credentials include:

• PhD in Classical German Philosophy, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (1992)
• Master in Public Administration, Harvard University Kennedy School of Government (1994-1997)

Her research spans Ethics, Practical Philosophy, Political Philosophy, and Moral Philosophy, with specialized expertise in Kantian ethics and moral responsibility frameworks. She integrates theoretical philosophy with public policy applications through her ethics center leadership.
