Monica Straniero

Monica Straniero is a Lecturer at the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Binghamton University. She holds a PhD in Philosophy in Italian Arts and Culture from the University of Guglielmo Marconi, with an MA and BA from the University of Rome and University of Bari, respectively.

Her research focuses on the interplay between film, literature, and graphic narratives in contemporary Italian society. Key areas include Italian cinema, immigration themes in literature, and the study of graphic novels.
