Professor Das's research centers on three interconnected themes: the ecology versus economy debate, statistical analysis of contemporary economic issues, and challenges in BRIC nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China). Her foundational work on the Pollution Haven Hypothesis in international trade has appeared in The BE Journal of Economic Analysis and Policy, Eastern Economic Journal, and Environment and Development Economics, with her book Economic Growth and Income Disparity in BRIC published by World Scientific Publishing.
