Prof. Dr. Mona Schieren is a Professor of Transcultural Art Studies at the University of the Arts Bremen. She holds a PhD in Art History and Philosophy from Universität Hamburg and Villa Arson, Nice. Her research focuses on transcultural translation in art, migration histories, and gender studies. She leads the European media art archive project Gama and co-edits FKW Zeitschrift für Geschlechterforschung und visuelle Kultur.
